Riu Palace and Riu Turqoise review
09 Sep 2024
I recently visited Riu Palace and Riu Turqoise in Le Morne and here are my candid thoughts on the properties.
Pros:
- Brand New Facilities: Both properties are newly built, meaning fresh decor and modern amenities.
- Diverse Dining Options: Guests have a wide range of dining choices, including steakhouse, Indian cuisine, and buffet options.
- 24-Hour All-Inclusive: Offers continuous dining and drinks throughout the day and night.
- Watersports and Location: Ideal for windsurfers due to the location and offers a variety of watersports.
- Beach and Sunsets: Long walks on the beach and stunning sunsets enhance the experience.
- Additional Facilities: Includes a beautiful entertainment theatre, kids club, spa, and fitness center.
Cons:
- Windy Conditions: The beach can be quite windy, which might not be ideal for guests who prefer calmer conditions.
- Shared Facilities: At Riu Palace (adults-only), some facilities and amenities are shared with the family-friendly Riu Turquoise next door, which might not provide the exclusive adults-only experience some guests seek.
- Lack of Teens Club: Riu Turquoise doesn’t have a teens club, which could be a downside for families with older children.
Overall Impression:
- Good Value for Money: Despite some drawbacks, the resorts offer a good value for the price, particularly for families and couples who are comfortable with shared facilities.
